NUTRIGENETICS SEMINAR @ BAUMAN COLLEGE JANUARY 19, 2018

Nutrigenetics is an exciting and emerging new field of practice using individual genetic profiles to personalize dietary and supplementation recommendations. Genetic variations, known as SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms), affect how an individual responds to nutrients, supplements, and lifestyle changes. The goal of nutrigenetics is the prevention and treatment of disease as well as optimizing the health of an individual.

In this 2 hour seminar, we will explore the basics of genetics as well as identify some major SNPs and how the combination of genetics, blood work, and food journal assessment can be applied to individualize a nutrition program.
